Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

Who doesn't love a chocolate bar? I was so excited when I saw Too Faced was coming out with the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I noticed right away the color difference between this one and the regular Chocolate Bar Palette. This palette comes with more warm toner colors and all of these shades were right up my alley.

This palette comes with 16 different shades-

  • Licorice- This shade is matte black shadow, I noticed right away that this color did apply a little patchy. It wasn't as opaque as I was hoping for.
  • Coconut Creme- This shade is also a matte finish and it is a basic light beige. Too bad it didn't actually smell like coconuts ;)
  • Nougat- This shade also a matte finish. It is a peachy light mauve pink shade.
  • Truffled- again is a matte shade color. It is a beautiful medium brown shade, I thought this shade had wonderful color pay off.
  • Hot Fudge- Just the name makes me want to crave chocolate. This shade is a dark brown with a frosted finish. I was not impressed with the color pay off on this shade. It did apply pretty patchy.
  • Cocoa Chili- The shadow its self is a matte deep brown, but there is a tiny hint of glitter. It flecks off so its barley even noticeable. So its not shimmery, so I would just consider the shade its self matte.
  • Pink Sugar- I feel like this color was a waste in the palette. There is no color, just glitter. It is very sheer, and I will probably never wear this shade. I wish they would have replaced this color with more of an opaque light pink.
  • Puddin'- This is one of my favorite shades in this palette. It is a beautiful taupe with a hint of grey. It is also a matte finish.
  • Blueberry Swirl- I like that they included a fun shade in this palette. This shade is a frosted finish, and the color is a beautiful blue with tons of shimmery.
  • Peanut Butter- By far my most favorite shade in the whole entire palette. It is a matte finish and if just a beautiful orangish brown. This is a great transition color.
  • Frosting- Is a bronzy brown and has more of a frosted finish. I thought the color pay off was really good.
  • Rum Raisin- Is a taupe brown with a metallic finish.
  • Mousse- This is also another one of my favorite shades. It's a medium brown with a grey undertone. It has a matte finish.
  • Caramel- Is a very shimmery golden shade. I thought out of all the shades in this palette that this shade was the most opaque. The color pay off was amazing.
  • Bon Bon- Another one of my favorites! It is a more of a rose gold shade and it is very shimmery. It was also very opaque and looks amazing all over the lid.
  • Butter Pecan- Is a light gold with a little hint of peach. It also has a little shimmer.
Overall I like this palette better then the regular chocolate bar palette. A few of the shades were a hit and some were a miss. I think this palette has more versatile colors and can create many beautiful looks. And it also smells just like chocolate!

Wet N Wild Palette in Thrift Store Chic

I feel like this eyeshadow palette is a princess in a palette. It seriously reminds me of a princess with the beauty shimmer and pinks. Now, I picked up this palette for review purposes because I do not think I can rock a pink eyeshadow look, but after swatching these shades I feel like you can come up with some really beautiful shimmery looks.

Thrift Store Chic

  • Shimmery golden yellow shade
  • A chunky glitter champaign/pink shade
  • Medium chunky glitter pink shade
  • A light pink shade (which I am in love with)
  • Medium shimmer hot pink shade
  • Purple with a golden undertone
I really love the color combination in this palette. It has a mixture of different pinks and the pigmentation was spot on, except for the chunky glitter shades. I think those shades would be perfect to just add on top of another shadow to give it more sparkle. I think this palette would be perfect for a festival or if you are dressing up on Valentines day, but other then that, I don't think I could pull that much glitter off, but who knows, maybe you could?

Overall, I love the pigmentation, I just do not think its a must have when it comes to a palette. I think it could be a hit and miss depending on your makeup style.

Wet N Wild Palette in Vinyl Collection

If you like nudes and shimmer this palette is for you. When I spotted the new palettes from Wet N Wild at Walgreens, I knew for a fact that this baby was coming home with me. I am such a sucker for nude shades and I love the mixture of creams, gold, and greens in this palette.

Vinyl Collection
  • First shade is a matte cream color
  • Second shade is a very shimmery champagne color that had more sparkle then pigmentation
  • Third is a beautiful shimmery gold
  • Fourth is a taupe shimmery shade (which is my favorite in the palette)
  • Fifth is a forest shimmery green
  • Lastly is a deep brown color with shimmery
I didn't experience any fall out with the shades other then the second shade because it did have a lot of glitter. All the other shades were extremely pigmented and very easy to blend. I was extremely impressed with how pigmented all of the shades were. You can create a lot of beautiful looks with this palette and its such a steal for the price! Let me know if you picked up this palette and what you think of it. It is only $3.99 and can be found at Walgreens.

Wet N Wild Palette in California Roll

Long time, no talk, LOL. It has been a while since I have posted a blog post, but I am back and I have tons and tons of products to share with you all. With the snow starting to melt, and it's starting to get a little warmer, I have been on a huge Spring makeup trend, and just wanting to try out some new products! So the other day I was in Walgreens, I finally came a crossed the new Wet N Wild Spring palettes. I was super excited that I found them. But also bummed because I was on the look out for the Spring polishes as well, and sadly they did not have the display. I did pick up 3 of the new palettes though to share with you guys. And I am so in love with all of the shades.

California Roll was the palette that really caught my eye. It comes with a bunch of fun colors for the Spring.
  • The first shade on top is yellow beige color with hints of shimmery
  • Second shade is a beautiful beige with more of a golden under tone, which also has shimmer
  • Third is a bright green with a hint of shimmer
  • Fourth is a beautiful matte orange
  • Fifth is a shimmery teal color which is one of my favorites in the palette
  • Lastly is a matte red
I love the fact that this palette comes with a bunch of different finishes and the colors are extremely pigmented. The lighter shades were harder to show up on my skin tone since I am very pale, but I think they would show up much better on a deeper skin tone. I honestly thought this palette was going to be horrible, because a lot of drug store palettes that have bright colors are usually huge misses. But this palette was incredible and I highly recommend picking it up if you can find it. And it only retails for $3.99.
