Did I Reach My Blog Goals?|My New Blog Goals For February 2018

Wow, I can't believe the first month of the new year is officially over! Honestly, time is going by way too quickly and I am not prepared! In just about three months it will be my daughters 1st birthday and I seriously cannot believe it! With the first month of the new year over, I thought I would go back and reflect on my blogging goals for 2018 and to see which goals I had met and what goals I need to work on more for next month.

Also, after I wrote my blogging goals post, you can check it out here if you missed it, I have came out with some new goals as well. So lets reflect on my goals that I had wished to accomplish and we can compare if I met those goals yet, or how far along I am.

Original goals and did I accomplish them:
  • Plan out my blog posts and social media post: this is something I did lack for the month of January. I get PR sent to me randomly so somethings I really want to post a blog post about, so it is a little hard to plan those. As for posts about blogging and lifestyle, I have been doing a good job of planning those posts out.
  • Post two blog posts a week- looking at the dates on my blog, I did make 6 blog posts this month, which I was hoping for 8. So that is something I need to focus on more next month is to produce more content.
  • Post 5 photos on Instagram a week- honestly, this one was a epic fail! I have been slacking really bad on Instagram and next month I am going to try my hardest to post 5 times a week. This month I think I posted 10 photos. So yeah, I guess you could say that was a pretty big fail.
  • Reach 6,000 views on my blog for the month of January- this was something I did accomplish and I am so excited. I actually got over 6,500 views this month! So not only did I hit my goal, I went over by 500 views.
  • Make at least $200 a month- this was something I did not accomplish this month, but thats ok! I ended up making a little over $50.00 this month which isn't too bad. I am hoping by the middle of the year I will be making that $200.
  • Reach 100 followers on Pinterest- I was literally so close to reaching this goal. I am only three away which means I am at 97 followers now. So I know I will hit that next month for sure!

So it looks like out of all my goals, I only reached one of those this month. With that being said, I do have some new goals I would like to share.
  • Plan out my blog posts and social media posts- I have a planner that I need to actually use. So I am not giving up on this goal.
  • Reach 125 followers on Pinterest- since I am so close to 100, I might as well have a goal of 125 follower count as a goal for February.
  • Post 4 photos on Instagram a week- 5 posts a week just seemed a little too much for me right now, so I am going to try and do at least 4 posts a week, hopefully more!
  • Reach 7,000 views on my blog for the month of February- since I reached 6,500 for the month of January, I would love to reach 7,000 for the month of February. I will make me work a lot harder and it would feel like a huge accomplishment to finally hit 7,000 views a month.
  • Post a mix of different blog topics- I have a few blog posts planned for February but I want to do a little bit of a mix this month including beauty posts, lifestyle posts and blogging posts.
  • Post a total of 10 blog posts for the month of February- since I do have a lot of blog post ideas already, I want to post at least 10 different posts this month. I will be going out of town for a few days, so I know I will have to make sure I have everything planned in advanced, which brings me back to my first goal of making sure I plan out my blog posts.
I am so excited to see what the month of February brings me. I would love to hear some of your blog goals for the month of February.

This post and blog contains affiliated links and ads which means I may receive a tiny portion for any click or purchase.

Does anyone else get super excited walking down the makeup isles? Well, while browsing today at Walmart I came a crossed a new collection by L'Oreal. I was literally so excited and my boyfriend was looking at me like I was nuts while I was snapping pictures. I knew as soon as I got home that I wanted to do a blog post on all the new goodies! I didn't end up buying anything, but I wanted to still share with you the new collection and whats in it.

The first thing thats part of this collection is eyeshadows. These are the Crushed Foiled Metallic Eyeshadows. At my Walmart there was three different shades. I am not sure if there is more, but this was all that was on the display. The shades are: Diamond Dust, Gilded Gold and Crushed Stone. These literally look so beautiful and I may have to go back and pick them up.

Next thing in the collection is lip glosses! I wasn't able to get the names but there were two different shades. A pretty gold and a pretty rose gold pink shade.

They also have lipsticks that are part of this collection! Since my boyfriend was rushing me, I wasn't able to get individual photos, so I hope this one shows you what some of the colors look like!

And lastly is highlighters! I know these will probably be a fan favorite! There is two different shades in this collection! And everything in this collection is priced at $9.97 each! Let me know in the comments below if you will be picking up anything from this collection and if you like this type of post let me know and I can do more!

How I Make Money From Home|Stay At Home Mom

This post and blog contains affiliated links and ads which means I may receive a tiny portion for any click or purchase.

A while ago I made a couple of posts about making money from home and I thought I would do a little revamp and update on all the ways I make money at home. I am a stay at home mom, which I love. My daughter is 8 months old and I love being home with her every step of the way. Being able to watch her grow and see all her first's means the world to me.

Before to begin, I do not make a "ton" of money. I am lucky enough to be able to work from home while my boyfriend works outside of the home. If it wasn't for him working, I wouldn't be able to be a stay at home mom. The money I make on the internet is just extra money we have to go towards bills, stuff we need in the house, my shopping trips to Target etc.

I have found quite a few websites that work for me and having my blog has helped bring in some extra income as well. I have a lot of information to go over with you so let's begin! (I will be sharing a lot of links that are affiliated. Which means I may receive money if you sign up for any of these).

The first thing I will talk about is different websites that allow you to receive free gift cards.

  • Swagbucks: This is my go-to site to receive freebies. I will either redeem Amazon gift cards or PayPal giftcards (which means they just deposit money into your PayPal account). I use Swagbucks so often that I was able to make $100 for the month of September. I know Swagbucks can be a little bit confusing, but I stick to one thing and one thing only on the website. When you starting earning your SB, I stick to using nCrave under the video tab. With the nCrave's there is two options listed that are movie/website playlist. These playlist will automatically keep playing. Whenever I am sitting watching tv, shopping, doing house work or even cooking dinner, I just let the playlist keep playing. I can typically get about 150 SB's a day just from that. And on top of it, if you reach your daily goals, you will get a pretty big bonus at the end of the month which is a huge plus. If you would like to signup you can do so here. The nCraves isn't the only way you can get SB's. You can also shop through Swagbucks and receive points with each purchase. You can do surveys and also play different games. But after years and years of being on Swagbucks, the nCrave has been the most efficient for me.
(here are the gift cards I recently redeemed since the beginning of September)

  • MyPoints: This is pretty much the same thing as Swagbucks, but just on a different website. So it really just depends on which set up you like better. I like to use both and just go back and fourth. I also use the nCraves on Mypoints since it is set up the same as Swagbucks. You can sign up for MyPoints here
These are the two websites that I use on a daily basis to bring in some extra income.

Another thing I did to bring in some extra income was creating a Etsy shop. It was something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I finally did it. You can come up with some many ideas of things to create and sell. I went with baby headbands since I have a daughter and thought it would be a fun hobby. If you would like to check out my Etsy shop you can check it out here: MilaKsMommyCrafts and also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/milaksmommycrafts.

My blog is a really good source when it comes to my income, but I plan on doing a whole separate post on that in the near future. When you have a blog there is a lot different places your income can come from, so I want to make sure I have a dedicated post to just that so I can explain everything. And I will also do another post in the near future on easy ways to save money and money saving apps. I have tons and tons of tricks and tips to share with you, so I hope you find them helpful!

Let me know in the comments below if you have any requests on any of these topics or if you have any questions. I could talk about this kind of stuff for days!

My Blogging Goals For 2018

With the New Year here, I thought I would share with you some of my goals when it comes to my blog and social media. I think it is super important to have goals. They can be big goals or small goals and I have a few that I do wish to accomplish this upcoming year.

To make things easier on myself, I am giving myself monthly goals. I feel like for myself, it will be a lot harder for me to meet my goals if I plan a year in advance. So I thought I would share my monthly goals with you.

  • Plan out my blog posts and social media posts- I recently went to T.J.Maxx and picked up a couple of new planners. And one of my biggest goals this year is to get organized and plan out all of my blog posts and social media posts. Once I get everything figured out, I will do a dedicated blog post on how I fill out my planner to keep everything organized.
  • Post two blog posts a week- This has been a goal I have been meaning to do since the beginning of my blog. Last year was a big year for me because I gave birth to my daughter and I pretty much fell off my blogging game. So with the New Year here, I would like to do 2 posts a week, so a total of 8 posts a month.
  • Post 5 photos on Instagram a week- I have been slacking a lot when it comes to Instagram. There is times where I will go almost a week without posting and I cannot let that keep happening. So my goal is to post 5 photos a week, so 20 photos a month.
  • Reach 6,000 views on my blog in January- My blog currently gets between 5,000-5,2000 views a month. And for this current month (January), I would love to reach 6,000 views. Then in February my goal will move up to 7,000 and so on as the months go on.
  • Make at least $200 a month- This year is the year that I am taking blogging seriously as a job. I am currently a stay at home mom so I would love to bring in at least $200 a month from my blog. I know it is going to take sometime, but I am hoping by March-April, I can at least make up to $200 a month. That would seriously be incredible.
  • Reach 100 followers on Pinterest- I am not someone that is big on my numbers when it comes to followers, but I would love to reach 100 followers on my Pinterest. I currently have 58 followers and would love to reach 100, hopefully by the end of this month. If you want you can follow me on Pinterest here. I post a lot of blogging related things, home decor, food and mommy things.
So those are just a few of my main goals I would like to accomplish. I think at the end of each month, I will do a round up post to just let you guys in on how my views are doing and my income. I think this will be a great way to see how things are going with my blog and social media accounts as my blog grows.

My Top Favorite High End Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes

This post and blog contains affiliated links and ads which means I may receive a tiny portion for any click or purchase.

I haven't done a overview post in a long time, so I thought I would start doing some of my favorite products rounded up into a few different blog posts! I am a huge sucker for a natural eye look, so to start off I wanted to share with you all my favorite high end neutral eyeshadow palettes. I picked out my top 4 from my collection to share with you.

When it comes to makeup, eyeshadow palettes are one of my favorites to collect. And I think it's because powder products last much longer then a liquid product. Even though powder products do last longer, a couple of these palettes are PRETTY old, but I still love them and still use them. I find that the pigment and quailty is just as good as when I first bought it. But I may end up buying a couple new palettes to replace these old ones, just so I can have a fresh one lol.

So let's start off with one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes I like to take with me on a trip! And that is the Urban Decay Naked2 Basic's Palette . This little palette comes with 6 different shades (1 satin finish and 5 mattes). I had the original basic's palette but this one is a bit more cool toned which I love. I have very pale skin and cool tone shadows seem to work the best. The one thing I love is how small the palette is, so it is perfect for travel.

The Urban Decay Naked2 Basic's Palette retails for $29.00 and can be found at www.sephora.com.

Since we are already talking about Urban Decay, my next palette is the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I feel like this is everyones beginner palette. This was the first palette I have ever bought for myself and I want to say its about 5 or 6 years old, so it has been in my collection for a long time. But this palette is the perfect everyday palette. It comes with matte shades and shimmer shades and the colors are just stunning. You can create a beautiful natural eye or even a beautiful smokey eye look. I own a few other naked palettes by Urban Decay but this one and the basic's 2 palette are my favorites!

The Urban Decay Naked Palette retails for $54.00 and can be purchased at www.sephora.com

Next up is my first ever high end palette and that is the Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eyeshadow Palette. My mom actually bought this for me for either my 16th or 17th birthday. I had been watching a lot of beauty views on YouTube and this was a palette I heard a lot about so I had told her about it and she purchased it for me! It is so old and still comes in the old Too Faced cardboard packaging. The new ones come in a beautiful tin packaging. But the shadows still look amazing and have such an amazing texture. This palette also comes with a mix of mattes and shimmers. I plan on holding onto this one forever since it is very special to me, but I may in the feature buy a new one just to have the slimmer packaging.

The Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral palette retails for $36.00 and can be found at www.sephora.com. (I also noticed a couple of the eyeshadows have changed, but the newer palette still looks beautiful)

Lastly I have one of my favorite Tarte palettes and that is the Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette. Not only is the packaging beautiful, the shades are incredible and very pigmented. I like that this palette comes with a mix of cool toned and warm eyeshadows and you can create tons of looks with this palette. I tend to reach for this one a lot. Tarte has amazing quailty eyeshadows and I would highly recommend checking this palette out!

This palette retails for $46.00 and can be found at www.sephora.com

So those are my top high end neutral eyeshadow palettes! I also have a MAC eyeshadow palette that I had made that includes a lot of my favorite single neutral eyeshadows that I will be doing a post on soon as well as some single eyeshadows from the drugstore! Let me know in the comments below what your favorite high end eyeshadow palette is!
