Top Money Saving Tips To Use While Shopping

This post contains affiliate links.

Hi guys! I am so excited to share with you guys some of my favorite money savings tips while shopping. I may be considered a shop-a-holic but I am such a sucker for good deals so I thought I would share with you my favorites.

Being a stay at home mom I am always on the look out for the greatest deals. I wanted to go over my favorite websites and apps that I use on a daily basis to help save me money while I am shopping.

  • Ebates- This is by far my favorite website to use. I have been using Ebates for a few years now and so far I have received almost $200 in cash back. If you haven't heard of Ebates before it is a website that you use to shop through. They have so many different retailers to shop from. So whenever I am making an online purchase, I go to the Ebates website, type in the store I am looking to shop at and then click through to that shop from the Ebates site. Some stores will offer 1% cash back all the way up to 15% cash back. Right now if you use my link you can receive a free $10 bonus with your first purchase of $25 or more. They also list if any stores are having any sales going on as well. It's such a great website and I highly recommend it. I use it both on my computer and my phone. I included some photos just so you can see my total cash back.

  • Before I do any type of shopping at Target or Walmart I like to print coupons. I will make my grocery list or my shopping list and will head over to They have a lot of coupons to choose from and they allow you to print two of the same coupon. So whenever I am getting low on razors, shampoo, cereal etc I love to use coupons to get those items. They are always adding new coupons. Even though I am no where near close to being an extreme couponer, this website does help me save some money. So if you have a printer, I would highly recommend printing out your own coupons.

  • iBotta- This is probably one of my favorite apps. I love using this when I am shopping at Target and Walmart. How it works is that when you scroll throughout iBotta you will see offers that will give you money back when you purchase a product. So say there is an offer for $1.00 back when you buy yogurt, all I have to do is scan my receipt that shows I bought that yogurt and I will get a $1.00 deposited into my account. Once you hit $20 you can either request a gift card or have the money put into your PayPal account. So far I have received $67.00. If you would like to sign up you can do so here. Also would love it if you used my referral code when you sign up "njfpcg".
  • ShopKick- This is such a fun app! With this app, all you have to do is walk around a store scanning products and you will receive points. Those points will add up and can be used to get free gift cards! Even though you aren't saving money during that specific shopping trip, you are earning points that can be used towards your next shopping trip. I love using this app in Walmart and Target. They do have a few other stores as well that you can use this app in. If you sign up using my link you will receive a free 250 kicks! Click the link here to sign up.
  • Cartwheel- I am a huge Target shopper. I probably go to Target twice a week (no shame). If you haven't already, I highly recommend downloading the Target app and use the carthweel. The cartwheel is part of the Target app that you can use to save money on many items are Target. They will either of special promotions where you can get a percentage off a certain item, or they may even have coupons available as well. I have been using the cartwheel for so long and its seriously a favorite of mine. On top of it, I have the Target Red Card so I get 5% off every time I purchase something, as well as free shipping on their website!
Basic Tips:
  • Always create a shopping list- this is something that we do every time we go grocery shopping. If we don't have a shopping list to follow, we always end up spending more money because we end up picking up things we don't really need. So always create a list and stick to the list.
  • Check weekly ads- this is also something we do. We have a few different grocery stores in our area so I always check the Sunday paper to see who has the best deals. I also love checking the Walgreens ad and Dollar General ad because a lot of the times they have super amazing deals on laundry soap, tooth paste, toilet paper etc. Which sometimes you can get those items almost free just by looking at the ads and using coupons.
  • Sign up for reward programs- this kind of goes with the Target cartwheel option but so many stores have reward programs you can sign up for that give you discounts or points. Walgreens, Meijer, Ulta, Sephora and basically almost every store!
Welp, those are some of my biggest tips I have for saving money while shopping. I really hope you found this post helpful! I would love to hear some of your favorite money saving tips are while shopping!

Kérastase Paris Nutritive Collection

These products were sent to me complimentary by Kerastase. All opinions are 100% my own. This post does contain ads which means I will receive a tiny portion of ad revenue if you click on an ad.

Hi loves, today I wanted to do a post on hair care since it has been a hot minute since I've posted about hair care. Kérastase was so kind and sent me a few of their products from their Nutritive Collection. I wanted to just go over some of the products they sent me and what they are used for. I do have 4 different products to share with you. I have only been using a few in my haircare routine but so far I really enjoy them.

Firstly, let's just talk a little bit about the brand. Kérastase is a luxury haircare company and is owned by L'Oreal. They recently reduced the prices of their products as well. I remember a while back I received a couple products by Kérastase from Influenster and I remember the prices being on the higher end. And looking at current prices, they are still a little high, but again, they are a luxury haircare company.

Now moving onto the products. I have 4 products to share with you and they are all part of the Nutritive Collection. The Nutritive Collection is made for people with dry hair which is something I do struggle with.

  • Lait Vital- I have been using this product for a few days now and it literally smells so good. This product is a conditioner that you apply from the middle of your hair down to your ends. You leave the product on for 2-3minutes, then you rinse it out. It helps restore moisture back into your hair and also adds some shine.
This product retails for $34.00 and contains 200ml amount of product and can be purchased at

  • Bain Satin 1- this is the shampoo I have been using the last few days. It is a very gentle shampoo that cleanses the hair while it provides nutrition to the hair. This would work with normal to slightly dry hair types. I love how the shampoo left my hair feeling. It didn't feel like my hair was weighted down and also added lots of moisture back into my hair.
This product retails for $30.00 and contains 250ml of product and can be purchased at

  • Nectar Thermique- I haven't tried this product yet but I do plan on it this weekend. This is a leave-in treatment. It is supposed to smooth away dull and rough hair surfaces and leave your hair looking shiny. I can't wait to try this because I love trying out new leave-in treatments.
This product retails for $37.00 and contains 150ml worth of product. You can purchase this product at

  • Masquintense Fine- this is a deep conditioning hair mask. So unlike the actual conditioner that we talked about earlier, this is a mask that you leave in your hair for about 5-10 minutes. You apply this from the middle of your hair and down to the ends. This mask is perfect for fine hair and they also make the same mask, but for thick hair. I can't wait to give this a try soon!
This product retails for $53.00 and contains 200ml of product. It can be purchased at

I seriously love trying out new haircare products so I was super excited to receive these. Let me know in the comments if these are products you are interested in or not. Kérastase also has many other collections on their website that work for all different type of hair concerns!

ELF Chromatic Eyeshadow Palettes in Posh Peacock and Bird of Paradise

These palettes were sent to me by ELF Cosmetics. All opinions are 100% my own. This post does contain ads which means I will receive a tiny portion of ad revenue if you click on an ad.

Does anyone else get super excited when they find new drug store items that you love? I feel like when it comes to drug store eyeshadows they can be a hit or miss. And when it comes to ELF eyeshadows, I haven't always been a huge fan but for the price, they do have some awesome eyeshadows. I must say though, these new Chromatic Eyeshadow Palettes are seriously amazing.

There is two different palettes you can choose from. Posh Peacock is more of a cool toned earthy palette and Bird of Paradise is a very beautiful warm palette.  Each palette comes with 7 different eyeshadows. There is a mix of formulas in mattes to metals. It also comes with a duo ended brush. One side is a crease brush and the other side is an all over eyeshadow brush. I am usually not a fan of brushes that come in palettes, but I found this one to be pretty decent.

Lets go over the Bird of Paradise palette first.
  • The first shade in this palette is a really pretty shimmery yellow.
  • The second shade is a matte orange, which I love!!
  • The third shade is a matte burnt orange shade.
  • Fourth is a shimmery rusty/maroon shade.
  • Fifth is a matte maroon shade.
  • The sixth shade is a light rusty matte purple.
  • Lastly is a light iridescent purple.
Most of the shades performed really well. A couple were a little bit drying but the rest applied and blended out really nicely. Scroll down for swatches and also information on the Posh Peacock palette!

The Posh Peacock palette is my favorite of the two. There has been so many warm palettes released that I just wasn't super excited for the Bird of Paradise. But this palette here is seriously so stunning and we do not have too many palettes like this out right now!
  • The first shade is a beautiful shimmery champagne color.
  • Second is a matte taupe shade.
  • Third is a beautiful shimmery green.
  • The next shade is a dark green with a hint of shimmer.
  • The fifth shade is a beautiful matte teal.
  • Next is a deep brown shade.
  • And lastly is a stunning baby blue.
All of the shades in this palette performed perfectly. I like this palette a lot better then the Bird of Paradise. So if you want to get one of the palettes, I would recommend this one!

These palettes retail for $12.00 and can be purchased from

Eylure Vegas Nay Brow & Shadow Pro Palette Swatches and Review

*Disclaimer, this product was sent to me complimentary from Eylure. All opinions are 100% my own. This post also contains affiliated links which means I may receive a tiny portion if you buy or click through one of the links.

Happy May everyone! I honestly can't believe we are already in a new month. I feel like 2018 has been flying by already. And what's even crazier is that my daughter will be turning 1 on Sunday! I honestly can't even believe it! I am hoping May brings everyone joy as we get closer and closer to Summer!

To start off the beginning of the month I wanted to do a review on the Eylure Vegas Nay Brow & Shadow Pro Palette. I was sent this through Eylure and Octoly. Which if you haven't heard of Octoly before you should totally sign up! It is a great website that connects you with a lot of different brands and you can get a lot of stuff sent to you to review on Instagram. This post isn't sponsored, but I just love using Octoly, so if you'd like to sign up you can click here or any bold Octoly word will bring you to the signup page!  So I just wanted to share that with you all really quick.

Moving back onto the palette. This is a eyeshadow and brow palette, so its going to be great for traveling. This palette comes with 9 different shades and a wax to set your brows. The palette also comes with a brush that helps blend the shadow into your brow as well as a spooly to brush through your brows. Even though this is a eyeshadow palette too, I personally prefer to use it just for my brows. I like mixing the two darkest shades and find it matches my brows perfectly.

Lets go over the shades that come in this palette:
  • English Clay
  • Gold Coast
  • Tuscan Copper
  • Red Velvet
  • Cappuccino
  • Warm Truffle
  • Hot Chestnut
  • Roasted Coffee
  • Midnight
For my brows I like to use a mix of Midnight and Hot Chestnut. I feel like those two shades work amazing with my black hair.

I find that this palette should work with all hair types. It is super easy to mix a few shades together in case you need something a little darker or lighter. As for using this palette for eyeshadows, I would prefer to use other palettes. I do like some of the shades for a transition color, but I can't really create the look I want with just these shades. And I do find the shades just a little chalky, which works fine with my brows and fine if I am just using the shades as a transition on my eyes. I do find that the colors do blend out super easy as well.

I made sure to include some up close swatches for you just so you can see the colors from a far but also up close. One thing I love about Eylure is that it is sold at Ulta and I find them to be very affordable. Right now they currently have buy one get one 50% at This palette does retail for $19.99.
